The Secret To Making Quick Life decisions

By Steve Norton

Hi there I’m Steve Norton and I’m a practicing therapist with over 15 years experience. I’d like to share with you a great technique for becoming more decisive when making decisions about your life. This technique works great for those wanting to make decisions about behaviours they have that they want to change or even career changes that they might be agonizing over.

Often the way we think keep us stuck in a rut and makes us feel helpless.

The old way of thinking might go something like this…..

“Why cant I lose weight?”……”because I’ve tried in the past and failed” or “I cant control my eating!” or “It’s in my family genes”.

That old way of thinking keeps you stuck in a loop and doesn’t allow for any creative problem solving or thinking. Its probably what you say to yourself every day and leaves you deflated and feeling out of control of the situation. This type of questioning engages the conscious mind only which is poor at problem solving. For more about the conscious mind check out my main site at http://www.freeyourmind.info/

Whenever you ask a question to yourself that starts with “Why” it kick starts the conscious mind into action which is a no go!

There is a solution though, that uses the wisdom of your subconscious mind to supply the right answers. It’s just using a different way to ask the questions! The other main thing is that it now places you in a position of power rather than weakness. It gets you to TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for your problem.

When you ask the question “What do I need to do….” it puts you in control. When you ask”Why” it presumes someone or something is in control!

Instead there this very simple 3 step strategy from now on and I promise you will get better answers and results.

Decide what it is you want to change or are not happy about, lets say its weight again and you want to lose weight.

Ask yourself this question: What do I need to do or change in order for “Me to lose weight?”

Allow your mind to retrieve the information for you while you relax.
Whatever advice/ information that is provided when you use this process will be solid gold and needs to be acted on as it comes from your wise subconscious. Information from your subconscious mind is generally very accurate and should always be taken.

This way you are searching for solutions (that were always there) and that sends you answers. So there you go 3 simple steps to clarifying decisions and making the right choices for yourself.

I promise you using this very quick 3 step process will help you to make very quick intelligent decisions about whatever it is you are bothered about whether that be your work, your relationship or whatever.

Always start with “What can I do…” and you will find the solution.
